Welcome to the Washington State Society Colonial Dames XVII Century website.  We are excited to share information about our society and our over 100 hundred years of historic preservation, recognition of those who settled the original colonies prior to 1701, service to U.S. Veterans, educational scholarships, and other charitable projects..  In addition, Colonial Dames XVII Century also promotes historical research, and has as one of its core objectives promotion of heraldry and coats of arms.

The Washington State Society was chartered on July 1, 1956, and has continually participated in our organization at the local, state and national levels since that time.  Washington members are vitally concerned with the welfare of our nation's veterans, and to that end members collectively serve hundreds of volunteer hours at state veterans hospitals and care facilities each year.  As a state society, we also encourage growth and participation of young people by facilitating college national scholarship applications, and maintaining a vital and growing Junior Membership program.

We hope that you will get to know us a little better, and your informational and membership questions are answered by this website.  Please contact our society, if you have any further questions.
